A unique and memorable act of faith, the Oberammergau Passion Play is performed in fulfilment of a vow made by the villagers in the year of 1633, when Oberammergau was in the grip of the plague.
The holy and powerful play, performed entirely by the villagers of Oberammergau, is an enthralling and most persuasive portrayal of the last week in the life of Jesus, His death and resurrection, as it is described in the four gospels. The play is staged with great sincerity and devotion and, in the year 2010, this unique event will be repeated again, brining to life the astounding words of the four gospels for the worldwide audience who will attend. In the vast theatre at Oberammergau you could easily think that your life was insignificant among so many people. Yet what Jesus did in His Passion He did for each of us. ~~ Christian Fellowship Tours will be conducting a tour to Europe in 2010 that includes, as one of its main highlights, the Passion Play. This tour will include a First Class ticket for the play.
Bookings for the Passion Play open in 2008 and we would like to have our itinerary completed and ready to go by that time. A number of people have asked us to include this tour in 2010, so thankyou to everyone who has taken part in the survey to help us plan this tour to be a memorable one.

In 2010 the Passion Play will run from the middle of May to the middle of September, and performances will be on alternate days. The play spans virtually the whole day, with a long lunch break. The scale is enormous with about 1000 actors and actresses on the vast open air stage, singing and accompanied by a full orchestra for the reenactment of Palm Sunday. This powerful experience is for many an emotional highpoint of their life.
