Our National Capital is always an interesting place to visit, and often we are told there needs to be more time visiting. Using our own Canberra Explorer concept, you will be able to spend as much time or as little time as you like in the National Museum, National Art Gallery, Questacon, and the Australian War Memorial. Organised sightseeing will include Parliament House during sitting sessions with a chance to meet your local Federal Member of Parliament and a tour of this amazing building. We will worship in a little church in the outskirts, that when consecrated was a part of the Diocese of Calcutta.

Mid North Coast people travel on the daylight XPT to Central then transfer to your accommodation. Interstate and Sydney people can travel by air to Sydney to be met at the airport for transfer. People from Sydney to meet at the hotel for the first night’s dinner together – a delightful dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour.
Off through the Southern Highlands where we will see the autumn tones of Bowral and Moss Vale as well as a detour to Goulburn to capture the colours of this Inland city before we arrive at our destination, the Novotel Canberra. The Novotel is our favourite place to stay in Canberra because it is centrally located and we are well cared for by the
staff.
Today is a sitting day in Parliament House, so we will make arrangements to spend some time on the tour of the building, refreshments with our member (please let us know your electorate) and watch the proceedings. This afternoon we will do some organised sightseeing including the view from Mount Ainslie.
We have designed a special “hop on Hop off” circuit using our own coach that will operate a continuous loop around the sights so you can plan your own day. Many people like to spend a lot of time at the War Memorial. The loop will include starting from the hotel, then the National Museum, the National Library, Questacon (entry fee
applies), National Art Gallery, Old Parliament House and the Australian War Memorial. The bus will come past each of these stops every 60 minutes so you can plan your own day, and every circuit returns to the hotel. Dinner tonight is at your own choice and cost, but we are recommending that we go together to Pancakes (lovely!) just a five minute walk from our hotel.
Another day of the Explorer Circuit is programmed to allow you ample time to enjoy these main features or enjoy the proximity to the CBD shopping experiences.
This morning we travel a short distance to the outskirts of Canberra to a small, rural church in Sutton to enjoy worship with local people. The Foundation Stone of this church connects it with the Diocese of Calcutta, India. After church we head to the delightful scale model village of Cockington Green to wander the miniature village displays.
It is time to head back to Sydney but not without its delights. Passing through Moss Vale we then make our way to the South Coast by the Illawarra Highway. Driving along the coastal route and through the Royal National Park to the Sydney airport and overnight in Sydney for the Mid North Coast travellers.
A late breakfast then a short walk to nearby Central Railway Station to connect with the XPT to the Mid North Coast.
