Journey to the tropical paradise of Vanuatu, an archipelago of 83 islands considered one of the most Christian nations in the world. Swim and snorkel in turquoise waters, walk through pristine rainforest and stand on the rim of an active volcano. Visit local markets, browse traditional handicrafts, enjoy local coffee and visit a Kastom Village to learn about Vanuatu’s pre-colonial customs and traditions.
Explore the Christian heritage of Vanuatu, from being proclaimed “Terra Australis del Espiritu Santu” (“Great South Land of the Holy Spirit) 420 years ago by Spanish explorer Pedro Fernandez de Quiros, to the brave missionaries who brought the Gospel to these islands in the early 19th century. Share daily devotions, enjoy Sunday worship with two different Christian churches and connect with local Christians and faith organisations.

Overnight: Efate Island

4 NIGHTS
A short flight this morning takes us to the volcanic island of Tanna, best known for its rugged landscapes and strong kastom (custom) culture. Relax and settle in at White Grass Ocean Resort, a charming 4-star boutique retreat with Ocean View Bures.
In the afternoon, we embark on a thrilling 4WD safari to Mount Yasur, one of the world’s most accessible active volcanoes. It was the glow of Mount Yasue that attracted Captain James Cook, the first European “tourist”, to the island in 1774.
We travel through the mountain region of Tanna, passing coffee plantations and remote villages. From Mount Loanialu we will see glimpses of the distant volcano as well as the black sand surf beaches and Sulphur Bay of Tanna’s East coast. We drive through the strange moonscape of the ash plains and then up the volcanos slopes. After a safety briefing, a 10–15-minute walk brings us to the rim of the crater to look into the glowing depths of the caldera. The roar of the underground magma eruptions reminds us of the awesome power of our Creator. Our tour is timed so we can experience both the colourful sunset and the dramatic spectacle of the molten lava of the volcanic eruptions lighting up the night sky. Wow!
We return to our resort for dinner, amazed by this incredible natural phenomenon and once-in-a-lifetime experience.
NOTE – Flight to Tanna – baggage allowance is restricted to 10 kg check-in and 5 kg carry-on. Passengers will need to take a smaller bag, leaving their larger bag at the Warwick Resort.
Overnight: Tanna Island

Missionaries first brought Christianity to these islands in the 1840s and today, faith is a central pillar of daily life. Tanna churches are known for vibrant worship, blending Ni-Vanuatu culture with Biblical truths and we join locals for Sunday worship and fellowship so together we can raise our voices in song and joyful praise. As we worship, we join a legacy that spans generations—proof of God’s enduring presence even in the most distant corners of the world.
After church we return to our resort for lunch and time at leisure. Embrace the peace of island life as you relax and reflect or swim or snorkel in this beautiful paradise. What a perfect Sunday!
Overnight: Tanna Island

Today’s tour is all about exploring this island’s unique features. We stop by a coffee hulling plant showcasing Tanna’s organic beans, browse the bustling Lenakel Market and see Tanna’s open-air Supreme Court building. We visit Lenakel Presbyterian College, where Christian values are instilled in the next generation, and stop at the historic Catholic mission to honour those missionaries who brought light to remote corners of the island.
One of our tour highlights and a natural wonder of Tanna is the enormous Giant Banyan Tree; believed to be the largest in the world its vast canopy and ancient roots cover an area over 200 metres!
Overnight: Tanna Island

Today, we travel into the heart of the jungle to visit a traditional kastom village such as Yakel or Lokalangia. These communities have intentionally preserved their pre-colonial way of life, blending spirituality, culture, and community in a truly unique way. While Christianity has taken root in much of Vanuatu, these villages hold onto ancient beliefs and practices. It’s a rare opportunity to witness a way of life that remains largely untouched by the modern world.

6 NIGHTS
We say farewell to Tanna and return to Port Vila where we visit Scripture Union Vanuatu; Skripja Yunyon Vanuatu works to assist the Christian Church, especially by reaching out to young people in schools and providing leadership training. Such ministries play a vital role in sharing the Gospel throughout the islands and supporting spiritual growth.
The rest of the day is yours to relax in the lagoon-side serenity of our luxury resort.
Tonight, we will have dinner at our hotel, where it will be our pleasure to host some local Christians serving the Lord in Vanuatu.
Overnight: Efate Island

Our day begins with a fascinating city tour of Port Vila; learn about Vanuatu’s British and French colonial history as we tour sites such as Independence Park, the Council of Chiefs and Parliament House. Visit the vibrant Central Market and Mahitahi Handicraft Market; this relatively new market offers authentic, locally made handicrafts ensuring the preservation of traditional skills.
After lunch, we head to Rarru Cascades, where a peaceful waterfall invites you to cool off with a swim and marvel at the natural beauty that surrounds you.
Overnight: Efate Island

Today we journey around the entire island of Efate, stopping at charming villages, historic sites, and natural wonders. Enjoy your favorite cuppa of organic, fairtrade coffee in a garden setting at Tanna Coffee Roastery. Swim, snorkel or just enjoy the ambience of the powdery-white sandy beach of Paradise Cove, and watch the boats unloading local produce at Emua Wharf.
At the WWII Relics Museum we will see the underwater relics that remain from WWII and learn about Efate’s role in this conflict.
