Wendy O’ Neill

“I feel truly blessed to have been offered the chance to become a CFT Tour Leader.

After prayerful consideration, I knew this opportunity was meant for me. I believe it’s all part of God’s plan and I trust that He is guiding me every step of the way. I’m sure there will be many spiritual lessons to learn as I travel and connect with new people through CFT.

My first CFT trip was on the Grand Land of the Bible Tour and words cannot explain how God revealed himself to me throughout this tour. We shared so many “pinch me” moments as we visited places where Jesus had been, and to do Bible readings at the actual place of events that occurred was surreal – this trip was (and still is) such a blessing in my life.”

Wendy has travelled widely throughout Australia and internationally, with her last big trip through Egypt, Jordan and Israel.

After dedicating 42 years to public service, Wendy is now retired. Having a son with special needs Wendy spent many years volunteering for the Special Olympics (a world-wide sporting organisation for people with an intellectual disability); she managed Queensland travel teams and assisted at state sporting events and the skills and experiences she gleaned from this time make her a great person to lead our CFT Tours.

Wendy is actively involved in her community at Church of the Vale in Ripley, Ipswich, helping host events like Daughters of Promise. Wendy has also participated in the Emmaus Walk, a spiritual retreat to inspire, challenge and equip faith leaders and church members for Christian action. Having taken part, she is now part of the Craft Connect group putting together agape gifts for future Emmaus participants.
